The Shield, the margin of the Law
Mar 08
So far I have spoken of "The Wire" as number 10, also within this ranking put Dexter, Brothers & Sisters and Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Lost and, closely followed by How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, 24, Alias ...
There are other series like Carnivale to which I have not yet sunk the tooth but the series before us today, is positioned at the top of the podium with The Wire. We speak of "The Shield, the margin of the Law" series starring Michael Chiklis, actor, if you follow the series, will sink as deep as "Piranha" and "Tito" Blue Summer
And that is the show? The Farmington neighborhood in LA, where crime and gangs roam, are governed by the rules of the assault team led by Vic Mackey, a group of cops who use their own rules and tactics to fight crime, and this includes extortion, torture and blackmail.
Over the last seven seasons that the series (the latter has not yet appeared in Spain), Vic and his team have to deal with gang wars, extortion, the police Internal Affairs, a Spanish captain (David Aceveda ) you want to grab them by the balls and take off the assault team of the way while catapult his political career and the problems of street violence.
Pioneering series in the shooting on 35 mm digital (or realistic format as some call it), portrays the harsh reality of the streets of Farmington, district does not really exist and possibly emulate the district of Los Angeles of "Salt". It is a violent series, do not hide it, but sometimes you doubt of justice and the methods used, Inside or outside the law? Is it fair justice?, Surely here is more blind than ever but, what results it gives!
The action is continuous in the series, the soundtrack, full of sugarcane issues, both rappers, and pop-rockers, they become a character in the series. For its part, the characters of the series perfectly meet the expectations, I think the only ones who fail slightly, are the silver side, ie women and children of Vic's girlfriend Shane (to which you feel like to shoot him nothing appears in the series), the rest, as I said, are extraordinary, all with their personal problems with his development of the character perfectly structured and staged. I think it's one of the few series I've seen complete with chapters very few gaps, without tension or drama, making this a series to follow from start to finish.
Until the Commissioner where the police work becomes a character, La Cuadra, as it is called, is a Reformed church to the station. There happens much of the emotional tension of the characters and where Vic and company, plan their illegal acts.
In short, please do not miss the chance to join the assault group Uncle Vic, surely you enamoráis and slowly you enter the game "Strike Team" (assault group) and finally, extortion, torture and kill in the name of justice.
Rating: 10

I've heard very good reviews in the series, as well, if not wrong recuierdo recently appointed one of the best series of the last decade.
Go ahead I am quite a fan of the American series (Desperate Housewives, Prison Break, Blood Brothers, etc..) But I can think of them quite funny and I do not know if it's something that happens to most people. The first seasons all seem very good, buenísismas frames ... the second most flojitas ... twisted and infumables third. It has happened with Desperate Housewives and Prison Break. Tell me a bit like, you die Franco, Don Pablo and veeenga going to stretch the series as a gum (What happens when you get to 90?, Will the Alcantara to hold Aznar's victory in the elections? Comply Doña Herminia 120 years ?).
What do you think of Rome? two seasons of ten (or twelve) chapters per season, two seasons, sublime end and move on.
Unadaptable hug!
I like you in most series ... want to extend too ... awful is the case of Prison Break, the Desperate Housewives, well, at least pull it out with grace ...
Rome is a huge series as you say, is short and very intense. Deadwood and Carnivale I recommend, without hesitation, we ...
By the way, and finally, Blood Brothers, is also 10 and now, 15 premiere The Pacific, which will (hopefully) just as brutal as Brothers ...
Martel Greetings!
Well thanks for the recommendation, Vuze will start work this evening. Blood Brothers is very good and takes care of the detail as possible, the only one but I put it that whiff Spielberg / Hanks is also seen in Saving Private Ryan. It seems as if all the American soldiers were heroes and that the factor number was always in favor of the Germans (remember the end of Private Ryan) when the reality was quite the contrary. Blood brothers seem to Easy Company of the 101 Airborne liberated Europe and it was not by herself for so much of this unit and that particular division ....
Well, when The Pacific premiere I'll lose but do not expect something like Letters from Iwo Jima but rather something in the style of Private Ryan. Even with all, not fail.
Greetings unadaptable
Is that Martel, your World War II with are very demanding, that's what has been your bedside reading for years ...
I have not seen hardly any of the series of which you speak.
I think women got more or less reinvented the time shift that resulted forced.
In the series that I do not appreciate too tired. Dexter, for example, I think, better each time. Brutal T 4, to that end we do not have, but it is very good.
Five brothers, after a relatively weak T3 is a glorious 4 th.
Perhaps you are a little crazy is True Blood, after two seasons is very "round" and will be difficult to return to reality.
In the comedies: any of the 6 seasons of Entourage is very solid and How I Met ... after a third and a shaky 1st half of the 4th I think back loose.
However, and not dwell, because if not and I will make a post. I think it has more to do with the pace at which you see with the seasons themselves.
I mean, the more you see the chapters followed best has to be the series to not saturate. A series slow, however good it is, like "The Sopranos" or "Six Feet Under" if they are too close together can overwhelm. If something changes the perception ration.
Series that is pure manifestation of bad taste predominant in Spain, just as is evidence that a series of this caliber was issued on Channel 9, the dawn of the summer (say, Summer), and not on a schedule worthy and respectable.
Pútridamente so real in his shooting and aesthetics, resulting in a just dripping multiorgasmo audiovisual quality.
From Vic-but-dosmetrosdeespalda mediometro-Makey, to David Aceveda ellatinomásciclado-all of them intriguing, worthy of remembering.
Wow, that's a critical ...
What of "visual quality multiorgasmo dripping" I use it on occasion, if not get paid royalties.
It is clear that there must be good.
this novel is based on the series:
